I drive in the U.K with BiOptic Lens

Been driving in the U.K with BiOptic lens for a few years now and have had no problems with it. I have eyesight of 20/60, which is below the correct eyesight requirement in the U.K. SO I went to America to be fitted with BiOptic lens. When I came back to U.K to take my test, i wore them in the test, the examiner did not have a problem with it, as they where part of the glasses I was wearing, and there no law stating that I can't not wear these corrective lens.
