You may want to go google and do a search for "low vision center". I went to the one in Arlington and there is doctor in Abilene that I know of. I don't know what part of Tx you are in, so that is best that I can tell you. Also, you might contact the Texas Commission for the Blind and seek financial assistance as the bioptics start at $1000 and work their way up from there.

It may not be possible for you to drive. Suggest you contact a low vision specialist for advice. Chris
