Re: My story and quest to be able to Drive
From: Chuck Huss
Since you reside in the UK, I would encourage you to seriously consider attending the Bioptic Driving Network's inaugural International BiOptic Driving Conference which will be held in London, July 4-6, 2003. See our website at www.BiopticDriving.org for details about the conference, including how to register on line. Additional updated conference information will appear on our website in the next week or two.
If interested in discussing your concerns with another former truck driver, who was in a similar predicament as yourself, please advise and I will forward his name and e-mail address to you tomorrow. Fortunately, because his loss of central visual acuity was minimal and which in his case the use of a bioptic lens system was not warranted, he was finally afforded an opportunity to demonstrate his on-road capabilities as a truck driver and had the latter truck driving privileges restored.
I look forward to hearing from you.
