I just found a low vision Dr. in Wilmington NC. I know that is not too close to VA, but we went there from SC,about a 3 hour drive. He is very good and was able to fit my daughter with BiOptics and painted contacts, we are waiting for them to come in now. He also worked with the DMV in SC which doesn't allow you to take vision acuity test with the Bioptics, but will allow you to drive and she is going to be able to get her license. His name is DR. Ed Paul and his # is 910-232-8250 believe me it will be worth the trip.
