I have a rather unique situation to the best of my knowledge. I drove for a number of years (1987 to 1993) with a bioptic (4X), until I failed the vision screening. I stopped driving for about 10 years, as I was disinclined to attempt driving with a 6X bioptic (and was advised by my low-vision specialist at the time tht New Hampshire set 4X as the limit). However, after a long hiatus I revisited the issue and decided I didn't want to drive a car again but would be willing to ride a moped/scooter (which can be operated in NH with a "moped" only license). It's been quite an experience, but I have run into a snag. Riding in colder weather is impossible, as my biptic glasses allow too much air and the inevitable watering of the eyes that occurs. What I need to find is a means to customize motorcycle goggles to accomodate a bioptic. I've tried helmets with face shields but the glare and fogging is problematic. Does anyone know an optometrist or manufacturer who either produces any such goggles or would be willing to experiment with what I have? Sorry about the lengthy explanation.
