: My dad has been driving with Bioptic glasses for about 15 years now. This year the state of NH restricted his license to daytime driving only, for the first time! Why is this? and is ther any way he can have the restriction lifted? He actually prefers to drive at night because he says he can see better at night then in the daytime. his eye doctor says he can't sign a release for him do to hte fact that if anything happened it would then be his responsibility.. acnb anyone help??
Dear Scott,
At your convenience , e-mail me and provide a standard mailing address. I will forward you some names and addresses of appropriate contact persons (professionals and consumers from other States that also license and relicense BiOptic drivers) who may be able to provide you with copies of legislation related to night-time driving privileges for low vision BiOptic drivers.
I will also forward you advocacy related information that will assist your father if he is interested in getting such related laws changed in NH; or be of significance to him should he decide to apppeal the DMV decision to restrict him from night time driving at the present time.
Cordially,
Chuck Huss, C.O.M.S.
