: Is one alowed to drive with BiOptic lenses in British Columbia, Canada? Please advise.

No, not at this time. My wife and I along with our optometry have been trying this for several years but so far, no success case.

I read your previous email and fully understood how you feel about independent after getting the license. Would you mind to share with us what are the steps you taken to get the license. We talked to the motor vehicle branch couple years back and the answer was only regular eye glasses can be used as visual aids. They don't allow BiOptic or any auto focus system in the driving test. I have to say those are a bunch of stubborn people and some of them are even medical eye doctors.

My wife's best eye is 20/80 uncorrected and just a 3X BiOptic lens can improve her vision to 20/30. We are willing to invest into the auto focus lens. However, for the driving class, do we need to go to California to get the training?
