Hey y'al!
Some of you know me from my posts on this board, and some of you know my strong feelings that our boards are flooded with people asking questions for research projects. I understand their stand point and am not posting this to tell them to go away, because i believe they are welcome here. I am posting this message because i have made an alternative for all of us. It is called OAAP Network, the Ocular Albinism Awareness Project Network. I lanunched OAAP on February 1, 2002. The main purpose was because NOAH is horrible about keeping up to date information on their website, most information dates back to 1995 and as early as 1975!!! Anyways, I hope to make this site a "part" of NOAH, and not necessarily an "alternative" because NOAH is a very respected non-profit organization.
Now the important part, my site is not dedicated to just ocular albinism, i named it that because i am not full albino, i am "partial" or "semi" or whatever youc all it. I have OA1, have acheived the hassle of driving, and do fair in school without letting isioni stand in my way. I hope I have done well, and I want anyone who needs help to have a place to turn to. That's the purpose of OAAP.
Here's the link http://oaapnetwork.tripod.com/home.htm
This site requires Internet Explorer, sorry! It might run in Netscape but i can't make promises because i don't have it myself.
I'm trying to find a shorter adress, but funding is 0, and i do not intend to make OAAP an "organization" just a news and webboard site.
Questions, comments, inquiries, tips, help, anything! can be e-mailed to me at BlakeBillings@yahoo.com IF YOU HATE IT LET ME KNOW, if you dont like the visual design let me know, if you think its retarted let me know. BUT PLEASE HELP ME MAKE IT BETTER if you have an article you would like to post in the "stories" section feel free to email it to me! If you have a picture that you would like in the "NETspotlight" window on the home page e-mail it too, just let me know what it is, hehe.
Please let me know what you think and thanks,
Blake Billings
