Manitoba and Saskatchewan will consider applications by persons with low vision on a case by case basis. I really never chechked into Ontario or other eastern provinces.

Perhaps you might consider the following:

You should understand that individuals with a given acuity will not demonstrate exactly the same set of skills (ie., periperhal vision, pattern recognition, assessment of driving situation and response to circumstances) just as you would find differences between people who have become partially sighted later in life and those who have been born with limited vision. Experience with low vision and what you beleive about yourself will have a bearing on whether you are or are not able to drive. If people have always told you are incapable of something you are probably going to have doubts, right?

If you don't feel you can pilot a bicycle through downtown traffic why would you beleive you might be able to pilot a 3,000 lb. car?
