They won't help with the TV, but they should reduce glare from sunlight. Unfortunately, they won't work in a car because all car windshieldss nowadays are required to block either the UVB or UVA rays that cause the transition lenses to darken. Perhaps transition lenses will work in an old car without the UVA/UVB blocking. Marcus
