: wouldnt it make sense to get a suv that sits high enough to see all the road signs from. something ,ike a (expensive but good) mercedes suv or a small lexus would be good because they sit high adn aren't too short. i know i will be driving a standard toyota 4runner, just a thought

: : Foregive me for stating the obvious, but smaller cars are probably more suitable. I have Hyundai and Accent which is avery small car. Its very easy to handle, but its slow. I recently bought a mid sizish car, Nissan Maxima SE, and it is as big as ai wish to go. But, its biggest advantage is acceleration. May I suugest somethig in between, like a Golf or 2.4 litre Cavalier. My employer has a 2.2and 2.4 litre Cavalier, and I find the later one is a good all purpose fast enough kind fo small car. Also, the gauges are easy to read.

: : : : Thanks for the info.

: : : Kris,

: : : I don't know of a web site that has the info you are looking for, but I host a web site on BiOptic driving. The link is below. Maybe I'll add some things to consider when purchasing a car. You can find several sites on the web that discuss which cars are safer.

: : : I drive with a BiOptic. When I purchased a car I bought one much like the one I learned to drive because it felt comfortable. I have a Ford Contour. I would suggest you test drive several just to see what you feel most comfortable in, which one gives you the most visibility and comes closest to meeting your special needs. Some like a truck or van which puts them above traffic. I like a small vehicle because it is easier for me to handle when backing out and parking. The next car I buy will definitely have a keyless remote door opener! Good luck with car shopping.

Kris

I'd be interested in seeing your website on BiOptic driving. What's the address?

Simon
