: If you don't feel you can pilot a bicycle
: through downtown traffic why would you beleive
: you might be able to pilot a 3,000 lb. car?

One reason: SSQUISH!!!!
Drivers often tend to be VERY inconsiderate to
cyclists (we're too slow for them), and on top
of that I personally don't like 3,000 lb. hunks
of metal cruising by me within 5"'s of my ear.

But on the other hand, cycling is a good way
to get around freely (without having to rely on
busses, taxis, and other people), at least for
short distances. freely, without having to rely
on busses, taxis, and other people.

Which is why I have been considering purchasing
an electric-assist bicycle. They are apparently
still legal to ride WITHOUT A LICENSE in most
areas, because they are supposed to be *primarily*
human power. Mopeds, on the other hand I believe)
have to be street licensed almost everywhere.

I live about three miles from the University of
Missouri campus (with some pretty busy streets
in-between) This could make the differences
between arriving at school worn out after
a 3mi. ride, or with energy to spare.
Has anyone else used/considered this option?
