: I'm awaiting approval for a learners permit in Virginia. I can't find anyone in my area (Springfield, VA) qualified to teach low-vision or BiOptic lens driving. Any one know of someone or a school that is comfortable teaching a first time driver with a BiOptic lens?

Good afternoon Joni,

Call the Woodrow Wilson Rehabilitation Center, Fishersville,VA, 703-332-7118 and request to talk to one of the driver rehabilitation specialists. I am sure they will be able to provide you with the information you are requesting. You may also want to try calling Ms.Magre A. Owens, Director of Low Vision Services, Commonwealth of VA. Dept. of the Visually Handicapped, Richmond,VA., 804-371-3124.

Good Luck!
