Today I was contacted by a representative of our local city bus line and asked if there was any written information and/or videos available for purchase which describes and/or illustrates how persons with visual impairment utilize various types of distance low vision aids and mobility devices/techniques while using public transportationn systems (especially city bus systems).
Our local transportation officials are interested in including the latter type of materials in their sensitivity in-service training program on better understanding the needs and abilities of their visually challenged passengers.
If anyone can stir me in the right direction or is aware of a source for such written and/or audio-video materials please advise ASAP.
Thanks,
Chuck Huss,
