Goldman on February 28, 1999 at 10:37:03 AM EST: : No, Sharlene. The bill would allow the use of conventional glasses or contact lenses. The bill would only prohibit the use of BiOptics in testing. This is still a dangerous vagueness, because DMV testing equipment is not nearly as accurate as that of an eye care professional. Not to mention stupid, because doesn't it make sense to try to test under the same visual conditions you expect to exist when you drive, ie., you should be allowed to test with the BiOptic if you trained with it and expect to use it when you drive, yes?
