My son has a low vision exam coming up. The Low Vision optomerist will not prescribe BiOptics for anyone if they are to be used only for driving. What do other people use BiOptics for besides driving, that a 16 year old could also use them for? Is there a type of Bioptics that are especially useful? We have a high option insurance plan, but I do not know if they are covered. Also, Patrick's vision may not be able to be corrected enough so that he can drive. It is 20/200-20/300, and he has significant nystagmus. He has trouble with a monacle due to the nystagmus, so I'm afraid he may have the same problem with BiOptics. He is very upset over the driving issue, and I wish I could tell him "Maybe not now, but in a few years you can". Thanks, Kris
