BiOptic Driving is defined as driving by persons capable of using BiOptic lens systems and techniques to overcome visual acuity limitations while driving.
To stimulate discussion regarding driving with BiOptics among driver licensing authorities, legislative authorities, advocacy groups, eye care specialists, vision rehab centres, driving schools, and insurance companies.
To advance and stimulate research on the utility and safety of BiOptics. This includes but is not limited to the development, implementation and validation of standardised low vision driver screening, training & assessment, and testing practices of BiOptic driver applicants.
