BiOptic Driving is defined as driving by persons capable of using BiOptic lens systems and techniques to overcome visual acuity limitations while driving.

 

Goals of the conference

  • To stimulate discussion regarding driving with BiOptics among driver licensing authorities, legislative authorities, advocacy groups, eye care specialists, vision rehab centres, driving schools, and insurance companies.

  • To advance and stimulate research on the utility and safety of BiOptics. This includes but is not limited to the development, implementation and validation of standardised low vision driver screening, training & assessment, and testing practices of BiOptic driver applicants.
