My name is Rob, i am 28 and I live in Lancashire near Blackpool. I have Ocular Albinism, Nystagmus and Astigmatism. My prescription for glasses is +3.00 Sphere -4.00 Cylinder and 2.5 Axis in the right eye and the same in the left.

I have always been told i would not drive but ever since being of driving age have wanted to and keep searching for a way i can. I heard of Bioptics a couple of years ago but gave up searching as there wasn't alot of information available. I have today been to see an optometrist in Cleveleys called GR Hardwick who are suppliers of the Ocutech Bioptics, they told me that they are not legal to drive with but did not give me any information of who contact further. I have also been seeing the doctors at Leicester Royal Infirmary who specialise in Nystagmus and it was they who diagnosed me with Ocular Albinism however they have not been able to point me in right direction either.

I'm desperate to drive if it is possible but cannot seem to find anyone to give me a definitive answer. I've read so many conflicting stories. I'm willing to travel where ever is necessary to find the answer and do anything i have to as it would change my life dramatically.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Best Regards
